Knayi Thoma was Persian Merchant?

Almost all the Indian Church historians write about the Syrian Colonization group leader: Thomas Cana (Knayi Thomman). He was a merchant of great wealth and from noble family.  Many of the writers say about him that, he was a Syrian merchant. But some writers say he was a Persian Merchant.  Some modern historians also have called the Syrian Migration as ‘Persian Migration’, ‘Persian Colonization’ etc. But there is no historical evidence.

Pantenus was a Bishop?
The end of the second century, St.Thomas Christians came into closer contacts with Alexandria. The effects of this contacts, the Alexandrian Church sent a missionary to Malankara for spiritual guidance and Pastoral care. That missionary named as Pantenus came to Malankara and he gave the spiritual knowledge to the Malankara Church people. We have only a few historical documents to get idea about the mission of Pantenus in Malankara. Some historians says he was a Bishop.
